Can you believe that it’s already February? I feel like I was just celebrating New Years with my family. Well, before the year passes you by, I wanted share with you how I plan for the year. It’s actually pretty simple.
In December, I’ll download a free printable calendar and map out the upcoming year. I’ll add major items such as family vacations, conferences or company events to the calendar. This helps me get organized for the year and keeps me on track.
In 2019, I’ve blocked out some family vacation time as well as some personal time. I’ve also added industry conferences I’ll be attending, like LPL Focus, the Riskalyze Fearless Investing Summit and the eMoney Summit. This year, I’ll also be attending some non-industry conferences like Social Media Marketing World and FinCon. Make sure you add some non-industry conferences to your calendar to get an outside perspective.
Every year, Michael Kitces posts a great list on his blog with some fantastic conferences for advisors to attend. Make sure you check out his list to learn more about conferences that you might not be aware of.
